Brief
Take Flight Pre-Jets Game Show Visual Overhaul
Tasked with overhauling the visual identity of CBS’s Take Flight pre-Jets game show, I designed a visually stunning storyboard, which was approved and implemented for the initial round of motion media. Deliverables included show intros, outros, lower thirds, title cards, and ad cards. As the sole creator of the show’s aesthetic, I designed all layouts and motion media, while Tucker Oelsen rebranded the show logo.
Challenges:
The project faced tight deadlines, high broadcast quality standards, and budget constraints, requiring strategic resource management and efficient execution to meet CBS’s objectives without compromising quality.
Role & Contributions:
As the lead designer and animator, I was responsible for creating all visual elements and ensuring seamless integration with CBS’s broadcast standards. My creative vision merged the excitement of sports with sleek, modern design elements, influenced by audience research and industry trends.
Results
Results:
The project significantly enhanced the show’s aesthetic and professional appearance, receiving positive feedback from CBS executives. Although the toolkits were later modified by CBS, the initial designs set a high standard for sports programming visuals.
Business Impact:
The enhanced visual identity reinforced CBS’s brand positioning in sports broadcasting, contributing to long-term viewer loyalty and market competitiveness. The project’s success opened doors for further high-profile collaborations with CBS.
